What Battery Checker Do You Use

As the title what battery checker do you use, I use one shown in the picture below its very good as it will give the total voltage,
The voltage per cell up to 6 cells and the largest voltage difference between 2 cells, I find it very useful and check my batteries after each flight to see whats left in them I try to leave around 20% if possible, I set a timer on my tx for the time it normally takes to leave the 20% and find it works very well, I just fly for a few mins then land and check it then do the same again untill I get the 20% reading then I have the correct amount of minuets to set the tx to

I got mine from Fast Lads they also sell a black one that looks the same and from what ive seen they are identical just re-branded

I've just got a tiny Lipo alarm with a voltage read out and a low voltage audio alarm. It doesn't look anywhere near as fancy as yours but is a bit smaller and lighter and i leave it permanently attached to my quadcopter.



Usually i find i set the low voltage alarm off early when I'm pulling a high energy maneuver - the voltage drops a little extra when you pull large amounts of current - then i land with about 11 volts in the pack. My charger usually sticks about 2500mah back into a 3000mah pack so I must be leaving some spare capacity in the packs.

Do you get better results with a more sophisticated lipo alarm like the one you've pictured?

The one I pictured isnt a lipo alarm its just a checker but it gives an accurate read out of each cell, It was bought when I got into electric helicopters so I could see what was in the packs and also if one cell was weaker than others, with the fuel guage bar across the bottom you can see the current capacity of the battery in percentage, instead of wondering what the voltage is telling you, its just what ive got used to if I see 50% then I know my pack is only half charged

Ive got the black version of this its called the fusion smart guard, and looks exactly the same as your blue one, I have just been looking at these and it seems there is now a version 2 of both models, although it looks like they have just added a balancing function not sure it needed that as most people seem to have proper balancing chargers these days

Yea that's the one exactly the same as mine, I wasnt aware they had made a version 2 of these but from what Ive read I wouldnt rush out to buy a new one as the one I have works just fine, and as you say the charger takes care of any balance issues that may arise
