Drifting left in GPS hold

For the first few flights after i fitted the Naza with GPS it help position mm perfect even in a strong wind but it';s now developed a drift left despite repeated re calibration etc.

It drifts left about 5m then the gps holds it still then. Then if i feed in some right stick it has a little kick to the left before going right.

Seems worse early in a flight and seems worse since i told the naza what off set the gps had from CoG (re did all calibrations after)

It';s also a bit hairy at first lift off like it';s almost trying to tip over left and requires me to be right on the case to keep it from tripping over. Once it';s been in the air the issue seems to lessen.

There is no "toilet bowl" or drift in forward flight ??

no mechanical changes at all since fitting the gps

Cheers

OK you say its worse since you set x/y/x wot are your x/y/z settings and where is your gps mounted a pic would be handy

If you find yourself in danger of being taken seriously, then try to do something which undermines or sabotages that perception in some way.

This does seem to happen for the first few mins of flight, I think its something to do with the IMU warming up. First few mins I have to hold the multi still manually then after a while its OK. the phantom has a warning light telling you if the IMU has not warmed up or not. When I first take ours up they always drift, then a few mins later its bolted to the sky again same as always....

I sometimes get similar. I tend to lift off in atti and flick to gps a couple of mins into the flight.  The other thing I';ve noticed is if in an enclosed area, I suspect the GPS gets multipatch interference. I';ve flown two different naza';s in my back garden and both drifted the same, so I suspect the signal may be bouncing off the walls in the enclosed space. Put it in atti and you can see it visibly flick level.  Improves a few minutes in the air though.

when i started helis and fitted flymentor
one of thee most crucial things before flying was to let it acclimatize for about 5 mins when taken from a warm house or car to outside

I have noticed the same thing with my quad in the last week as the weather outside cools down if i take the quad out
side throw a battery in and go for it the quad is noticeably unstable until halfway through a battery but after that its locked on tight
