Hi guys!

Im trying to build a Android Controled Quadcopter, i have the following items from Hooby King Store, i know how to set the Arduino on the board but i dont know how to share the power , im kinda of noob on this  :cry  anyone could help me , or teach any eletrical schema , or indicate a tutorial for setting everything up?  and also can anyone help me to know if i can control only via Bluetooth?

Parts:

Multiwii and Megapirate AIO Flight Controller w/FTDI (ATmega 2560) V2.0 (Link )
UBLOX LEA-6H GPS Module w/Built-in Antenna 2.5m Accuracy V1.01 (Link)
Turnigy 1811 brushless Outrunner 2900kv (Link)
TURNIGY Plush 6A /.8bec/6g Speed Controller (Link)
Turnigy 2200mAh 2S 20C Lipo Pack (Link)
Gemfan 6030 Multirotor Propellers One Pair CW CCW (Black) (Link)
Multiwii MWC FC Bluetooth Module Programmer (Android compatible) (Link)

Thanks guys! sorry for me being noob!
Thanks!

Bluetooth is only good for 10 meters!!  :slap:
I wouldn';t want to be flying any closer than that!!
My Hubsan drew blood, and that';s smaller than one of your blades!!

Do yourself I favour a ditch the Bluetooth idea to start, then do some reading up of MRs get a micro and practice first. (with your Bluetooth phone if you must!   ~~

I think this is the best answer you';ll get. Assuming that you have never flown RC and you are jumping on the bandwagon

I might be wrong.

You can alter settings to tune the PID';s via BT but it would not be advisable to try and fly it via BT -range is too limited.

No problem about being a noob.  Building a quad like you want to is the best way to learn, IMO.  Although a ready-to-fly (RTF) quad will get you in the air a lot quicker, building one really helps understand the ins and outs.

Jumpy07 and Gaza07 have written guides about the Crius AIO Pro for MegaPirateNG and MultiWii.  Have a look at them.

The motors you chose are not particularly beefy.  They are most suited for a quad size below 300.  I have these motors on a small quad and found that the prop mounts are not well balanced and introduce significant vibrations.  These props will fit directly on the shaft without the need of the mounts.  They';re also available in red.  If you install black on the front motors and red on the rear it gives you a visual indicator.

The next problem is the battery.  Although it is the correct voltage for the motors it';s also quite heavy.  I would try something of 1300mAh or even less.

Regarding controlling the quad with BT someone has written an app. Android Multiwii remote Bluetooth/Wifi.  If have not used it, so I don';t know how well it works.  The author said he wrote this app because EzGUI doesn';t work that well for controlling a quad (if that';s what you were thinking about using).

As it was said before, BT has a very limited range.  I have a BT controlled micro quad and utterly hate controlling it with my phone.  YMMV.  There are certainly cheap transmitter/receiver combos out there if you are considering that option, e.g. Turnigy 5X and more capable ones that don';t break the bank.

I would forget about the GPS for now.  Put it on later when you have a flying quad.  I don';t know how well GPS is supported in MultiWii or MPNG, if at all.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Um, just a quick question !

You list you parts but no mention of what size frame you intend to install all the said equipment on.
Just an observation, so have you seen something you wanted to do? that inspired you
to jump on the multirotor roller-coaster ?

Only asking as this may help explain you purchase list etc.

P.S. Merry Christmas
Carbon Tricopter with KK2 mini because you have to own a Tri and Falcon Evo FPV (rebuild again) with fatshark 600mw vtx & pz2040 cam. New addition (hidden from the missus!) 250 quad.

A common mistake is that the RX and TX connections between the BT module and the FC aren';t swapped.  You need to connect TX to RX and RX to TX.  Hope that makes sense.

Another common problem is that the baud rate of the BT module doesn';t match that of the FC.  Figure out the baud rates of both and then adjust one or the other.

Ok now the connections are swipped , just need to check de baud rate..

thanks

YEEEEEEEEY!  ::) worked now!

But also if you allow me to ask , its possible to arm and pilot using only bluetooth , tablet , pc or mobile?

I see that someone was doing that with a tablet only , without need of controller, do you know any app ?

thanks!
Thanks!

You can probably assign arming to a switch, like gear or aux.  I';m not sure what is available.

Have you had a look at this? http://www.multiwii.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4594

I don';t know of any other apps, I';m afraid.

Im looking for the options Quadfather but im getting crazy , i need to fix it on arduino?

On Ez Gui i have green light on ARM but i just heard one beep from the motors i guess i really need to find a way to use a bluetooth controller Android.

This Link uses one APK that fails in most of the cases just crashing the system , should be one older android version...
Thanks!
