camera gimbal combo that works?

I am thinking i might be getting a new gimbal and go pro style cam, can some one suggest a decent camera that will work on more than likely a Tarot T4 gimbal, looking at about £70 for camera

One of the SJ series (make sure it';s genuine) should be good.

Be careful. I have a SJ4000 and it is about 14gms lighter than a gopro. So I am not sure how much control you have on the Tarot. i.e. you get best performance on gimbals by having the camera balanced on the gimbal.
The SJ4000 isn';t just lighter than a gopro the weight is distributed differently.
So I would look at many reviews/youtube vids of your gimbal and see if other people had issues setting it up with an alternative to the GoPro.

I do like my SJ4000, great cam only 1080 though.
