That';s what I';me using in mine - I have Gens Ace 3S 2200 25C and they work fine, I';ve used these for quite a while now in my Planes and have always thought they have been very good. THere has been the odd occasion when they have been left fully charged for up to 4 weeks due to weather - when I';ve checked them there has only been something like 2-3% capacity drop indicating they have a low internal resistance (which is good). I get mine from Giant Shark and usually pay about £12-13 delivered.

Yeah mine are 2200 too. If I was to get say a 4000. Will I get a longer flight or would the extra weight cancel it out.

Hi,

For my quad 450, I was recommended a Turnigy Nano Tech 3cell 3300mah 25-50c. They are £17 from HK UK Warehouse (I ordered another one last night!).

I also have some Turnigy 3cell 2000mah 20c which I use in my gliders, but they seem to discharge really quickly in my quad 450 and flying time is vastly reduced.

I also have some Turnigy 3cell 5000mah, 50c for my aerobatic planes, but they are too heavy for the quad and it struggles to take off, so be careful.

Good luck, Stef

Bit of a "goldilocks" thing with lipo';s.

Something not too heavy

Something not to low on capacity

Something juuuust right (which in the majority of quads seems to be the 2200/3000mah range)

Some of it also depends on the quad itself.  My small 400mm quad goes just great on a 2200.

I have a few nano 3300 Turnigy';s 3s  ... excellent wee batteries.. and great in the cold  .. downside is nano';s tend to be a bit heavier

So what ';C'; rating is better? 20C or 50C?

The C rating tells you the maximum possible discharge rate, but you only need to use what your powerset needs - any higher means you';ve bought more expensive batteries than you need to. If you';ve got the same setup as I have 25C is ok.
I';m sure there';s a thread somewhere that explains about all of this, I think Teslahead did it.
