Has anyone fitted a KK V2.0 board to a TBS frame

Hello all

I am considering using the arms, 4 x new 30 amp esc';s, and motors and the KK V2.0 LCD board from my 450 Flame Wheel quad and fitting them to a TBS frame and i am wondering if the holes on the top plate for the flight controller are 45mm apart like on a 450 Flame Wheel.

Has anyone already done this and have you had success or did you come across any problems if so what were they.

The donor quad at the moment is flying pretty good and i don';t really want to do the conversion if i am going to encounter problems.

Also would the KK V2.0 settings still be quad configuration and is there any C of G issues.

Thanks Dave

The good news is that the TBS does have the correct hole spacing for a KK2.

The bad news is that they are in the bottom board.  If you are careful to miss the pcb tracks you can drill some on the top board.

Hello SimonS

That is good news as i do not mind fitting the KK V2.0 to the bottom plate as i have some small nylon stand offs and i could mount the lipo on the top or even on the bottom plate if there is room.

That means that i would just have to remove the top plate for entering the KK V2.0 settings as i would put all the electrics on the bottom plate.

Question now is do i just buy the top plates which are about £58 or take a chance on buying a complete frame from somewhere else.

I think that you will find it a pain removing and reinserting 24 screws every time you wish to adjust something.

A guy has told me he put one on his dead cat clone frame and it worked perfect and he put it inside though for protection.

He also stated that he can still get to the buttons to make any changes and can still see the screen through the hole in the top of the frame so i will ask him where he got his frame from.
