If you find yourself in danger of being taken seriously, then try to do something which undermines or sabotages that perception in some way.

Gaza07

Oh dear they really are not doing anyone any favours they will ruin fpv';ing for every one just for their 5 mins of fame

Why go looking for trouble ? don';t these guys have any common sense? I used to be a fan of T.B.S but not anymore :banghead: :banghead:

fly it like ya stole it.

sausageroll

Its quite fun watching this, and I admire these guys bollocks to go and do something like that, but your right, it isnt gonna do everyone elses image much good....

How stupid can people get??? If that isn';t asking for trouble I don';t know what is!

I don';t see any problem with this. I think you';re wrong to think it will harm fpv flying. I actually think it will widen the appeal.

And if more people take up fpv flying then the hobby has a louder voice.

I have to agree this seems pretty daft. Flying along roads at car level just seems like a bad idea to me - i can';t imagine it';s any easier to do that than driving a car through traffic, which you need to be licenced to do. If more people take up the hobby after seeing this video and copy the blacksheep team it';s only a matter of time before something goes horribly wrong. Chasing the police just makes it worse.

Also the french have pretty strict laws on this kind of thing (i say this based entirely on the James May Flight Club program where he couldn';t get permission to cross the channel).

They';ve got the number plate showing - surely this is incriminating evidence?

Posted this on another forum I go on to see what their reaction was, it was promptly removed by admin as it was seen to be a threat to our hobbies reputation - from my and most other peoples reaction to it I see it as the true hobbyists want no part of this sort of thing!

I disagree with eyeflying';s comments I think this will harm the hobby its downright stupidity if anything had gone wrong  and it had hit a pedestrian or smashed into a vehicle would that promote the hobby I think not.
If someone throw's a stone at you throw a flower at them just remember to throw the pot with it.

Im quite surprised you feel that way as I see several dangers they are flying in a very public place which could result in some ne being hit and also flying in traffic which could result in a car being hit which could lead to some thing much more serious, both counts are covered in the air navigation order I forget the number but its some thing along the line of someone should never needlessly or recklessly endanger a member of the public or their property, I cant remember the exact wording but its some thing along those lines, and to encourage people to buzz scare or what ever you call it is just damn dangerous, we are all entitled to our opinion FPV is a excellent side to our hobby but should be kept well away from the bust city streets at all costs and lets hope that cost isnt a full ban

Just thought this was in france and im quoting the CAA for the uk although I still feel its to much

I must admit I thought some of TBS videos were really impressive and encouraged me to get started, this one has dropped them off my viewing list, sheer stupidity. Whilst it may encourage some into the hobby, perhaps not the right ones as it';s mindless foolishness.

And then theres the gendarmes, they are hardly going to be impressed by the antics are they.

eyeflying

OK, it seems that I';m in the minority with my opinion of TBS and this video.

My comments were prompted by everyone';s instant condemnation of this stunt (and that';s all it is - a stunt - perhaps a little risky and yes, maybe slightly dangerous) but it always surprises me how fickle people can be... one minute everybody';s praising TBS';s videos - the next minute they';re very naughty boys and... "we';re not got going to watch their videos anymore"

I don';t think these guys are ';stupid'; as everyone seems to think. The clue';s in their name ';Team Black Sheep'; - they want to be rebels - this video is just self-promotion.

I agree, TBS push the boundaries but that';s what they';re known for and that';s what they want to do - just take a look at their video in New York - But does anyone really think that these two guys from Switzerland are going to get FPV banned in the UK? - I really don';t don';t think so.

Personally, I would definitely NOT want do what TBS do and fly in crowds and chase police cars but it doesn';t stop me having a sneaky admiration of their skills and the sheer ';balls'; of what they do and I respect their rebelliousness - i just hope it doesn';t go horribly wrong for them one day.

And yes, it may attract people to the hobby because they want to fly and imitate the TBS antics but that';s when their education begins - they join a forum like this and learn that there';s just as much fun to be had flying safely.

Let';s not whine on about those naughty TBS boys. Yes, agree or disagree with what they do - but they';re not stupid, they';re not daft, they';re just a bunch of guys who make interesting FPV videos and want to appear as ';rebels';.

I for one will keep watching and enjoying their videos but definitely  "won';t be trying this at home kids!"
