A foamboard Funjet ultra lookalike!!!
Got all of the parts and materials to make one so it would be rude not to ::)

Are you building a quick one?

Seeing some foam doing almost a 100mph is a little :o

It won';t be that fast, I';ve only got a 200W motor to go on it but it should still do 60-70 mph which is plenty fast enough for me!  I';ve seen the mpx ultra version with 500W on tap and it will do well over 100mph but being so small it';s no fun to fly for someone my age ::)
Found this..... http://youtu.be/26B39689ct8  scary!!!  :blink

cool, only thing i don';t like is the way most people seem to mount they';re FPV camera on them, couldn';t be doing with the nose in my view.

While I';m cutting foam board I';m going to build one of these as well, got all of the stuff needed so again it would be rude not to, especially as I';m having serious fun with my Flying wings Crossfire - want to see what the difference is (the foam board one being a pusher).

the crossfire combat looks mad, will be following this to see how you get on with your wing.

Decided to do the wing first being as I';ve not made anything from foamboard for a while; it was pretty easy to make - airframe built ready for servos etc, now I have to wait for some more free time!
I';ve made it from all foamboard, it will be more rigid and not need a spar.

I';m going to use a smallish 1500kv motor in it to start with, it';s one I use on 3D foamies - runs nicely on a 20-25A esc on 3S on an 8x4.5 prop; should be plenty fast enough for me!
The crossfire is a great little model and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try a flying wing, it';s not very fast with the recommended setup but to make up for that it';s very agile!

Is that just Depron Darrell?
No it';s foamboard, similar to the dollar tree stuff except it';s a bit heavier. Never built anything from depron - maybe have to get some and have a go ::)

Got mine when they were doing 2 for the price of one, it';s pretty good to work with - I finish mine when they are built with solvent based pu varnish (water based makes it warp!).

Ooo, like the look of that wing, mostly because it look like a nice easy build

Only when one looses sight of your toy does FPV become fun and against legislation already in place.

It is an easy build, I';ve not done mine the same as the vid shows mine is all foamboard I';ve done that to make it more rigid. Playing about with this sort of stuff is great fun because you';re not pi55ed off if it doesn';t work or you break it at £3-4 for an airframe!

Yeah I haven';t watched the whole video but saw he started off with foam board then used some other foam on top.  I havent got anything like that but have foam board sheets so could bodge it with those.

Hey Guys,
just seen this thread; I';ve built the funjet and and FPV40 wing from Depron. Both fly very well, the FPV40 wing is my go to wing it just fly';s so well. I have a 2212 1000kv motor on the FPV40 spinning a 9x6 prop, on a 2200 3s I get 25+ mins of runtime.  The funjet has an old bixler motor with a 6x4 prop, don';t know how fast it is but it is fun and flys very well on 1300 3s for about 8 mins. Both frames can be built in a morning and for very little money. They are also very robust when covered in packing tape.

rgds,
Marcus
