New Range Turnigy Bolt LiPo's

just noticed these on HK site here

they appear to offer significantly higher discharge rates ~130C !!
also they appear to allow charges up to 4.35v/cell
not sure if the max voltage is higher than std LiPo or not - could play havoc with software which always assumes 4.2V/cell
also, not the cheapest range by any means

QuoteMore than just a fancy name. TURNIGY Bolt series lithium polymer batteries are built with a LiCo nano-technology substrate complex and an all new CNT (carbon nano tube) additive greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.

Frying tonight?    :laugh:

What is the target audience for these?  Cars?

yeah - full-size ones   ;D

actually, a good point, LiPos could be an alternative to the Lead-acid ones, probably a few drawbacks somewhere tho';

barneyg

there was an American Custom Bike build show on TV and they were making a hybrid or electric bike (I didn';t watch it all) and they were using a load of LiPo';s to do it.
