I've made myself a 'proper' GoPro mount :)

It';s not my design - I saw it for sale in carbon fibre - but it was far too expensive - so I thought I';d have a go at making my own in ply and thin plastic.

Not half bad although I say so myself as shouldn';t   ::)

There was one made from plastic pipe of a similar design posted on here a while ago, the guy also made a nice looking hex from plastic pipes to, look forward to seeing how you get on with it nice job

Well 3 months of pretty crap weather and this evening I manage to get in a flight when the wind has dropped to manageable levels and so this is with the new mount .... I filmed about 4 minutes including a RTH ... but for some unknown reason the GoPro decided to stop on it';s own mid flight 

So here is all I got .... about 1min 30secs - but it does show what a huge improvement it is ... very stable ... I';m well chuffed ...

One question .. just fractionally before the motors start what';s the crackling noise you can hear... there';s nothing running ... is it just some sort of interference from the radio?

Here';s some pics of it in situ too ... I can move it forward and back on the ';O'; rings to balance different batteries ... I did make one silly mistake ...in my construction haste I forgot to work out where the ply mounts would be in relation to the SD Card slot - and more importantly the button to start the video  :embarrassed  They';re both just about ok - but very awkward ... might have to tinker with the design a bit.
