Cirus GPS modules... suspiciously cheap

I';m looking at some GPS modules for my MultiWii quad and happy to see they';re not too expensive.
I';ve noticed that most of them seem to need an adaptor to translate for Multiwii, but a couple seem to say that they';re multiwii (or MWC in the case of this link) compatible.

Is it the case that the V3 is now going to hook up directly to the i2c

Excuse any ignorance here, a bit new to the whole GPS thing.

They';re only a tenner, the one that specifically mentions multiwii is £13.

Too good to be true? Though I don';t mind shelling out £3-4 on the translator.

Hi, what controler do you have?

atmega 328 based need i2c i think
2560 can use serial....

hope that helps.

you will need to configure the unit for the correct speeds on the come port and increase the resolution, 5hz aint great but better than 1. 10hz is great. ceramic is an ok size.

you can download the ublox setup software foc and install it.

this thread may help...http://www.multi-rotor.co.uk/index.php?topic=718.0
Only when one looses sight of your toy does FPV become fun and against legislation already in place.

It';s a flyduino nanowii, so it';ll use i2c.
Looking carefully at the photo of the GPS module the pinouts are power and rx/tx so looks like serial. (Okay, yes i2c is serial)

Guess that';s what those adapters are for then. Not to worry, if it';ll work for a few quid more then all good.

But like the advice about the navigation rate. Might look about for something a little faster.
