I have done Dynamic Soaring in over 55mph, and quad flying in over 25mph with the right equipment.

Here is an early video of Minsoo Kim testing his VTOL (vertical take off lander) it uses the same technology as multi rotors except the gyro's control the surfaces at the bottom of the air craft rather than the rotors, control is achieved because of the rapid air flow over the surfaces even though the air craft isn't moving.

Minsoo kim was a pioneer in the world of multi rotors but he seems to have dropped of the map now  :-\
I have seen this video before but it is very good  ~~

Gaza07

it is a very old video  but a good example of a Vtol  ~~

sausageroll

My favorite Vtol is the Experimental Ryan X13

its great to see gyros being used for this and I'm not knocking it but been doing the same for years without gyros look up sumo 3d on rcg
If you find yourself in danger of being taken seriously, then try to do something which undermines or sabotages that perception in some way.
