Hello,

I have had my quad up and flying for a few days. I did the Autotune  on the 3.1.5 RC2 to get my PID settings.

I recorded them.
I went and cleared the eeprom data then reflashed the 3.1.0 RC4 using the flash tool.

I started the mission planner and it said there was an update . so I did the update. restarted it . then went to do the Wizzard setup. and when it got to the compass it now gives me this error.

The mission planner on my system is 1.3.6 build 5304.35573

I reset the board and tried it again with the same result..

I deleted the mission planner and install an old copy 1.2.76 mav 1.0
I did the calibration with success.
I want the new features on the newer mission planner the new version I get the compass error during calibration

Is there a Fix to mission planner???

or a download for a newer version that';s not the latest release??

1.3.5 was doing ok I think. Did not pay that close attention to the exact ver I had before..it did a few updates and worked god. then the last update yesterday messed everything up.

Please Help

Thanks

Craig

Hi Craig

Not sure why you were using RC versions of 3.1 as Auto Tune came out in 3.1.x.  But I think a good starting point to go is to update MP (first) to the current version and then use that to update the APM board to the latest release of Arducopter and go from there.

The last time I looked at MegapirateNG you never updated  it via mission planner as mission planner is looking at arducopter version which will always be ahead of MegapirateNG.  It should only ever be updated through the arduino software.

This may however have changed in the last year.

Sorry, my bad! Not paying enough attention ... I was in full on APM 2.5 mode!

Please pay no attention to anything I said in my previous post  :embarrassed  :embarrassed  :embarrassed
