Hello everyone,

I know homer was trying to logon to chat last night whilst in hospital but wasn';t having much luck.  It would seem yesterday in general, he wasn';t having much luck!

I had a text saying he was in hospital and wanted me to call but the number looked like a premium rate number (0702.....)  looks like a mobile number but these can cost a lot of moneya nd aren';t in free minutes.  Anyway, I text him to see if it was real.  A little while later he called and yes, he was in hospital.

(Forgive me if this isn';t entirely correct Homer!)

He was working and needed to bend some metal - he had it clamped down and started giving it some welly .. one of the clamps gave way and the whole lot swung around and smashed into his leg.  I believe he has broken his femur in two places and was due for surgery this morning to have it clamped and put back together.  Judging from the shoutbox, it seems like he might have gone in last night so is either under the effects of the anaesthetic right now, or in recovery.

Let';s all wish his a full and speedy recovery - he sounded like he was in good spirits when I spoke with him on the phone and we both agreed that he will be flying before he';s walking again!

Wrong side of Christmas but at least it';s a few weeks before Christmas!

GET WELL SOON HOMER!

Enjoy it whilst it lasts - you wont get another chance to experience the stuff any time soon (i hope!).

Morphine can be quite pleasant, but it also makes you feel a bit sick and itchy, so I wouldn';t worry too much about becoming addicted as it';s usually a relief when you don';t need it anymore.

fek me, broken femur in two places? You must have been hitting that piece of metal with some force!

Hope it all goes well, usually they put in a rod if your bones are up to it!

Take care with the recovery!
