Had mine a couple of days, it';s tiny! So far I';ve only added pins and hooked it up to baseflight, seems to work. Don';t have a CPPM receiver yet so can';t test it. There seems to be a vacuum of information about this little FC!

@DebianDave You don';t need a CPPM receiver to check out your Naze32.  In CLI you can set it up to use PWM and then hook it up to a standard PWM receiver.  You may need to use the CLI "map" command to tell the Naze what each pin is associated with (ie. AETR1234 = Aileron, Elevator, Throttle, Rudder and 1, 2, 3, 4 are the Aux channels in order from the RX).

The Naze32 manual has much of this stuff in there although the language can be a bit terse.

@DebianDave You don';t need a CPPM receiver to check out your Naze32.

I think you do need a CPPM receiver for the Naze32 mini though. Here';s the official mini manual;

http://www.abusemark.com/downloads/afromini_r0.pdf

http://abusemark.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=45

The main difference between the regular and the mini is that the mini has fewer input and output pins to keep the size down. So timecop did away with the PWM input to achieve this.

CPPM receivers are nicer anyway - less wire mess to worry about.

One circlip short of a quadcopter.
 1 lobe short of an antenna.

DebianDave

Indeed, the Mini does not have enough pins for PWM

I hadn';t seen the other thread tbh. It seems to me that most of the Acro Naze32 stuff applies well to the Mini, as they are broadly the same hardware wise?

After spending hours mucking about with my KK2.1 and still not being 100% happy with it';s characteristics on my mini quad, is it really true that these are pretty damn good "out of the box" for minis?

Edit: I only went with the mini as the Acro and full Naze32 are scarce as rocking horse **** :p
