Hex upgrade to TBS 750kv motors

Hi all, just some info on my HEX upgrade.
Gone from the cheap 1000kv motors from china with the collet prop adaptors to TBS 750kv motors as a first step.
The motors came Monday and looked good quality nice screen printed labels and art work.
The only thing that let them down was the prop adapter, this is a cast aluminium part that is held onto the top of the motor using 4, M2 machine screws, I loctited these screws in but would have been happier with capheads as the cross always strips out.
Any way. the M5 thread was way under size and the M5 in the top nut was oversize, leading to a very loose and wobbly fit, the 5mm diameter part at the bottom that should fit the prop on is very short (6mm long) and is not round ( 4.88 to 5.05) I think this is because the thread is machined but the rest is just left cast, would have been better if some was left on and thread and shaft machined in one (but the price will go up, its all a compromise)
The play in the top nut and thread was taken up with a little PTFE tape. I will look to replace the prop adapters at a larer date if I get the chance. But for the price, these are a great motor.
I also put on a camera gimble and have it linked to my Rabbit FC, it seems a little slow and does not keep up with the Hex movements? new servo or perameter change???
Also fitted the replacement 5 pin sonar, had some trouble geting it to read anything other than 190 - 200 but after an hour of messing realised it was bouncing a signal back from a cross brace on the legs (Doh) moved the brace back and all ok now.
Also replaced the GPS unit. This was a cheap £19 china part and seems to work ok.
A quick test hover with 10x5 props on showed the usual turn to the right on lift off and a very slow clockwise rotation. I think the yaw on FC wants adjusting as its the same on my other Rabbit.
All in all a good first flight. Wind and wet weather stopped anymore flights will keep you up to date.

Looking good, quality motors make a big difference,.. lower KV should help flight times as well

up the yaw gain on the rabbit a bit more see if that cures the yaw drifting
