well i got my naze32 acro today and looks good but while soldering the rx header pins channel 4 copper pad came free  anyway i carryed on thought i use taranis sbuss and not use channel 4  but i need a converter ebuss to cppm  :slap:

not to be put off i carryed on conected everything up and did my bench tests normal rx to naze32 worked evern channel 4  ~~  so i dropped a few drops of CA glue onto it to stop it from moving fitted it into my clone dji450 flame wheel with afro 30 amp esc and sunny sky 980 kv motors set it up to be dosile for first fire up bench tested it once again

and off out side i went fired her up brought up the throttle thought i just pop her off the floor and it did a 9 foot leap going left smashed into a wall  and snapped a arm of my flamewheel  :banghead:  (i killed throttle asahp but to late it was off)

now i got the parts to fix it but ive just slumped it down on the cupboard very disharting only thing i think it could be is i was taking off in angle mode and not acro other than that i got no clue why its did its Hugh leap

It really is a great flight controller. I took solder pad off for channel 1 :( had to scrap paint off the tracer going to it and solder to that. It';s definitely a FC you need to watch a set up video on. It does fly really smooth best FC I have used

Hands0n

Yeah, Mochaboy knows his Naze32 stuff.   He made [at least] two videos on YouTube about that FC ~~

ok i get to fly the naze32 acro today calibrated the esc and also noticed in the light of day that i  had motor 3 and 4 plugged in wrong  :whistling:

it was a long day and long build night

i  pids i adjusted  pitch and roll to 5.5 yaw rate to 0.50 and pitch and roll rate 0.50
expo down to 30% and rc rate 175

the flight

flying around was nice smooth crisp pitch and roll can go higher but to be honest it fly';s so smooth i don';t think ill move it by much  doing gentle figure of eights and she flew really well angle mode locked at 45 degrees really moves nice i like it
into horizon mode took her up high  and now its time for a flip but when i pulled back on the pitch expecting it to do a flip and catch it on the return it flipped over 2 times   :o
this thing has crazy flipping speed so i played some more getting a feel for her and did some nice loops and in flight rolls and i love them crazy mad flips
all in all after i spotted my stupid mistake  its a very good board i love it

on a side not on cli on base flight you can reassign all the pins so that bad pin for me no:4 pin can be resigned so i don';t have to use it and save a tenner on a sbus converter  :beer2:

now dose any1 no if frsky sell antenna replacements ive nicked and crimped the wire on my x8r receiver  :(
i put it in the naza (with rth) and range tested it so its got about 800 meters but i do plan on fpv this new rig and would prefer full range

Hands0n

There is a short discussion about this here : http://forum.flitetest.com/showthread.php?8502-How-to-replace-a-broken-receiver-antenna-wire

Short answer seems to be that there is not a replacement as such, but there are ways to replace!

well i did a lot of digging around the UK suppliers of taranis and i found these and ordered 2

http://robotbirds.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=8252

hope they have the end part on and just snap into place

Hands0n

Excellent find. Bookmarked ~~

You will need to solder these on to the RX';s circuit board. I did read somewhere that the earlier RXs were socketed but these new ones are not.  It should be a big job.

did you also see they have the l9r ive seen them in stock in 1 shop cart find it now
but this 1 anyway

The only downside of the L9R is the loss of telemetry that the X8R has - which may not be significant to some.  Its all lovely kit.
