What do you guys recommend for securing esc';s and LIPO';s etc.

Any benefits of using either.

I guess velcro is preferred for the LIPO';s for ease of swapout, what length of velcro do I need for a 3300mAh LIPO.

Am I better buying a length of velcro 10mm wide or the velcro tie wraps.

I use 25mm wide sticky back velcro and bought it on rolls from ebay, and if throwing it about a bit then I also use a velcro strap to keep it secure  ~~

Velcro tie buckle straps for the battery ...

and definitely cable ties for everything else - I buy them by the hundred - mixed sizes - easy to use - easy to snip off and replace - grip well - secure... velcro can be a bit ';wobbly'; on my opinion.... and the glue can be a bu**er to get off sometimes ...

Thanks for the reply Gaz, the slots I have in the frame plates suit 10mm, so I may buy a reasonable length of it then. I can add a couple of pop rivets to hold it in place.

would you quit that smoking in your avatar, smeagol is getting upset when you post a reply to me, the smoke is going up his nose hence the response  ;)

Cheers - 200mm length it is then, may need to extend the slots in the frame though.

I';ll pop into the local pound shop and grab a load of tie wraps, you can never have enough  ::)

I also use both stick on velcro and a velcro strap. The stick on stuff keeps the battery from wobbling about and the strap stops it flying away when i loop the loop.

For my mini quadcopter with the 800mah 3 cell i just use stick on velcro as it seems strong enough with the lighter battery.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

Theres something a little more reassuring about something being wrapped around rather than stuck to the LIPO ... but i';m a cautious guy

I use exactly the same method as Teslahed on my large quads and exactly the same method for my small quads!
