How tough is an X4?

Flying in the garden this evening, and had a minor error of judgement avoiding the washing pole whilst in expert mode, and crashed, well i say crashed, the X4 may very well have just broken physics!

I found the bodyshell is very tough, the arms tend to take most of the strain and they "pop apart" before breaking so just snap em back in and away you go.

p.s. One hundred and EIGHTYYYYYYYYYY!

Fantastic little machine. I';m trying to learn my FPV using the 107d........love it. I bought a kit of spares from goddlucksell £15 you get 8 blades, 1 body, two motors and a battery......excellent value. You just alter the video frequency to fatsharks and off you go.

Alien homemade , 330 homemade wonderful little thing oh and the 250 mini that is wonderful

Chami82923

I only had to clip the frame back together and replace the black prop and it was back in the air.

Amazed!

That pic is something else!

I have crashed my x4 so many times & so hard, @ high speed into trees, dropped from height onto tarmac/concrete etc.
Only 1 crash needed a repair (1 motor)

This video shows how tough they are!

Awesome demonstration of the toughness of these little things ...

Hells bells, how on earth did it not get broken? Must see if I can get one of these in mode1, they seem unobtanium - unless someone knows different ::)

Here you go, its the LED model - I don';t know if the original non-LED is still about : http://www.kingslynnmodelshop.co.uk/Quadcopters_and_Multirotors-Hubsan_Quadcopter/c368_575/p7350/NEW_Hubsan_X4_LED_Mini_Quad_Copter_RTF_2.4Ghz_-_instock/product_info.html

Thanks Danny but it';s not mode 1 - if the mode isn';t stated they are always mode 2 which is no use to me. I';ve seen the conversion jobs people have done and am not prepared to take a chance on it.

I did read somewhere that you can get these to work with a regular TX - although not sure which or what method of RF signalling.

Apparently the H107B is a native Mode 1 variant of the X4.  I found a few Mode 1 on Amazon, they';re the ones with the built in HD camera though, so a tad more expensive: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=hubsan+x4+%22mode+1%22&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ahubsan+x4+%22mode+1%22

Or  ... this one on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hubsan-X4-Mini-Quad-MODE-1-RTF-2-4Ghz-Radio-System-Battery-Six-Axia-Giro-/121134770482?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item1c3431e932

Just been flying mine around the kitchen, hallway, lounge ... on account of can';t get outside as its piddling down with rain and howling wind.

That';s a very nice offer, let me know what you want for it and lets get it sorted!

PM sent, now you can join in the x4 fun!

I would recomment the h107c even if you don';t want the camera option.
It has 8.5mm motors & 380mAh+ lipo so much more power on tap.
If you strip out the camera it';s insanely fast!

If you want to record video then see if you can get the HD version, or if not then the camera module can be upgraded later.
