I';ve just bought myself two of these;

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=29039

as after doing a bit of reading around I';ve discovered they are compatible with the standard turnigy9x transmitter and the er9x firmware mod which I';m running.

I';ve just tested one and they are definitely compatible despite saying ';Compatible only with HobbyKing T4A &  T6A Version 2 transmitters'; on the hobbyking website.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.

These are also compatible with the Turnigy 9x - available in the Uk for £8.97

I';ve bought a couple and tested them myself.

There';s also a 6 chnl version (£7.76) but I haven';t tested these but they should work as the FlySky 9 is identical to the Turnigy 9x

They actually look like the same product but with different badges  ~~

The 8 channel one is a bit bigger and heavier - i have one for my larger quadcopter. The 6 channel one giantcod sells is the same as the hobbyking one - i would have got one of those only they are out of stock at the moment.

Hi Chris,
I bought one of these recievers,and it works perfectly with the 9x....but do you know how to set the failsafe,or if you can...at the moment when i switch off the TX,the motors stop,which is ok,but wouldnt mind being able to set them.something just below hover..so it lands a bit softer!:-)

The receiver doesn';t support failsafes so you need to do it in your flight controller options if you can.
