Almost test time

Have got them talking now but have ran out of time to set it up and take some pics now.  Oh well will try again later in the week!!

In the end I had to find a usb driver, unzip it (ended up having to download winzip) the install it.  After that everything seemed to work.  Will defo try and get back to it in the week.

Lol now the motors will not start.  Had it running and needed to change some setting on the laptop, so did that now nothing..............time for a cup of tea.

Yes we have an update.................it flies 

With few email and a chat on the phone with Alex from UAVshop it at last climbed into the air a stable hover, just as a big black cloud came over.  So no other flights yet.  I am hoping to get some pics of it in the air later and may be even a little bit of video from the camera mounted in the nose. 

I have just ordered the FPV tx, rx and lcd screen (not got any google yet ) so looking forward to that coming.  Its a shame I only have two set of batteries for it but will order some more later in the year. 

It has been a very interesting build it a shame this forum was not here when I started build as I could have done a build thread.  Still lots of little jobs to do but as soon as I can get out its play time  8)

Looking good the skids look much stronger than mine, I fixed mine up the other day with new skids some glass fibre ones from HK, but I had a heavy landing on concrete and the new strong skids cracked the main frame plate  > its always the same you strengthen one thing the next thing in line will break  ::)

I cant tell from the picture is your made from nylon or fibre glass it looks like fibre glass but not sure ?

Strap your video camera to your head like I do  ::) but just make sure no one sees you, I had a right funny look of my neighbour when he saw me with my go pro strapped to my forehead  ;D

Hahaha thats not a bad idea.  Managed to get some video from the nose the other day, its only about 30 seconds worth.  In the end I took off in the workshop, went out the door a little then came back in.  You never know I may get some fottage this weekend
