My new hobby, Nicotine vaping lol

If you added a small fan and used the same smoke mixture they put in larger smoke machines that might work.

I am pretty sure smoke machines work the same way. A heated coil vapourises a liquid.

I';ll have to have a look at the specs of different types and models, I don';t want to spend a fortune on this little project, but equally it has to be "hackable" without too much work, otherwise the time spent building and testing could outweigh the end result.

I already have an idea on how I';m going to do it...

QuoteMinisters say they are responding to concern that the devices - which can contain nicotine - normalise smoking and undermine the smoking ban.

I hope this guy loses votes as a result of this. Seems like he just doesn';t want people taking nicotine because he thinks it';s somehow ';wrong'; to do so. If you can take nicotine without smoking or subjecting other people to second hand smoke then i don';t really see there is a problem for society that needs fixing with a new law.

All shops and private places should be able to set their own rules on smoking E-Cigs. It shouldn';t require the government to ban them from all pubs like they did conventional cigarettes. It just doesn';t seem necessary.

I will admit - I do quite like the E-Cigs with the blue LED tips though. Makes it obvious that you aren';t smoking the ';real'; thing and helps avoid normalising real cigarettes if you';re bothered about that.

Perhaps if you run a current through /heated a wire mesh saturated in propylene glycol/glycerine, a ducted fan would blow the vapour out the back and leave a nice trail

i find it funny how people worry about a little bit of 2nd hand smoke or vapor when they should really be more concerned about the so called fresh air they think they';re breathing in.

Nice! Let me know how the Kayfun turns out (fasttech I presume?) - looking to get one myself but I';m dubious about RBA clones, the ones I';ve picked up have slightly whack tolerances and needed a little tweaking.

i did think about ordering from fasttech but by the time you add delivery unless your willing to wait 2-3 weeks it probably wouldn';t work out that much cheaper. so i ended up buying it from someone on ebay, he had a few to sell and the feedback on them seemed okies, so thought i';d give one a go, it was only £25 so not much lost if it does turn out to be a load of rubbish.

shall let you know how it goes, hopefully be here tomorrow

I was a very heavy smoker for far too long but I managed to kick the habit over 4 years ago now, just went cold turkey one day and that was that! But now I';m older I';ve always fancied smoking a pipe for some reason, and today when I was looking for something else online I stumbled upon E-Pipes! I knew about E-Cigs for years but never had a clue there was pipe versions so I';ve ordered one to give it a try. :hmm:

I';m quite tempted myself - it';s the exact same thing as the e-cig, just a different kind of grip, but they look cool as hell!

bah no vapemail today :(

Well, disappointing so far, not sure if I';m doing it wrong (Probably!)

Pipe looks cool but it';s way too heavy, I wanted to be able to just hold it in my mouth like a regular pipe but it is just too heavy to do this comfortably so taking it fishing or using it whilst driving is a no-no... :(

I also really dislike having to press the button  to use it as this means I can';t use it while playing video games... :(

So to me, the absolute main times when I';d want to use it (Fishing, driving, gaming) I can';t by design. If it was a lot lighter and had some automatic switch that triggered on an inhale it would actually work like I wanted it to but then I';d hit the next problem I';m having with it...

Everything I put in it tastes like liquorice to me, which would be a good thing if I liked liquorice but sadly I don';t, at all. And my mouth and throat are left with a very ';soapy'; after taste which even real soap cannot seem to remove

At least as far ';New hobbies I tried and found I didn';t like at all'; goes, this isn';t quite the same scale of disappointment and cost as the Tibetan Circus Yak breeding fiasco a few years ago (I won';t ever buy 5 of those again, I tell you!).

2nd day on the patches for me, had one cig yesterday (normally about 20 a day) when I got frustrated with hk website when trying to buy an all important new 9x tx. No cigs today so far but I';m determined! Sick of being breathless and skint!

Fantastic news, well done.
Remember its one day at a time and already your 20 cigs down..

I';ve now done over 3 weeks without a fag.
Although I have vaped 10ml of captains custard, 10ml of sunshine, 10ml of twilight all made by steamgunk and I have had 10ml of Dekang';s fruitmix.
That';s the longest I have ever gone without a fag for 28 years.
I already feel better, and my kids love it as I don';t STINK of fags.

Plus that';s saving me money for this hobby.
FPV is now just around the corner.

Yep, was about two weeks in myself and started feeling a major difference, especially in the house and clothes, the no coughing lumps up every morning has to be a winner :)

a lot of the new stuff is fine, i spend a couple of hours in our local shop chatting, see new people come in just thinking of starting, damn sometimes wish i was on commission lol, but to many buy cheap throw away attys that give a bad impression and buy cheap crap liquids which dont do it justice.

variable voltage devices are better, especially the ones that detect the Ohms of the coil and alter accordingly, no more buying certain coils for your battery.

i preferred the iClear 16`s that came with my MVP, but mainly use a protank II, just bought an iClear 30 dual coil, and its far better than the pro tanks coils, for me personally, Dual coils burn far better and the liquid flavour tastes so much better in the iClears, well, liquid dependant, made my own coils for a while, but stopped now as coils are £2.50 each, i get about 4 to 5 weeks out of one, its hardly worth sitting there making them up.

in the last 4 years though i have noticed that when smoking cigs, i could be lighting one up 10 mins after putting one out, when flying, would be stood there with one in the gob, or sat at the PC for an hour , i would have probably gone through 4 or 5 cigs, but with these, have found i can have one vape and leave it ages before requiring another, as for the most part, one decent vape will take away the craving.

Just bought my first vape stick after failing to quit (stressful household) I bought a twin starter pack. One for me and the missus. Lovely fruit flavour liquids.
And what';s the missus doing? Still smoking fags the thick ******!

Now I';m not saying this is a medical fact - or even a rule of thumb - but my wife has just been to the Doctor as she has been worried by a feeling like a lump in her throat ...

Docs 1st question - do you smoke? - 2nd question - do you drink heavily?

Answer is no to both - (for both of us) never have - never will ...

So he says - if you don';t smoke or drink heavily the chances of any lump being anything serious and to worry about are very small indeed. In her case it';s just a cold virus.

So you guys get vaping / patching / or whatever you need to do and give up burning money and smelling like an old ashtray and give yourselves a chance - you know it makes sense  ~~

More than anything I can';t help but wonder where on earth the money comes from ... 20 a day being what ... say £7? ... that';s £49 a week ... £196 a month ... £2352 a year ...  going up in smoke  :o :o :o   I couldn';t afford to smoke

A pack of cigarettes in my local shop is £9.09, I get through at least 2 packs a day and sometimes 3, yet when I look at the price of a decent vape kit 20-30 quid, I say to myself feck that, its too expensive
Tomorrow I am going to order a decent vape kit and give it a go, I did have an eshisa one with fruit liquid, no nicotine but chucked it
Ive done the maths and its pretty scary, not to mind the fact that I am slowly killing myself

go to a local specialist vape seller like I did. they';ll sell you the right kit based on what you smoke right now and cater for flavours etc.
I`m currently using celtic vapours, forrest fruits (I think) and voodoo cherry.
the voodoo cherry is lovely!

I';m gonna stick with me evod I think, I was looking at the bigger ones with variable voltage and current but I want to cut it out altogether eventually and save the cash for hobbies lol.
Been doing quite well since buying it two weeks ago, some days I may have just one cig if I get REALLY cheesed off but most days I haven';t even bothered!
It';s really been a godsend and I notice other people who smoke stink really badly!
Hale the vapes!
