Just joined as I have just got into multi rotors and all that entails. Built my first one a month (maybe two) back and have got the bug.

Also fly helis and planks so not exactly new to the hobby but this is deffo a new twist.

Just picked up an AIO Pro board with GPS so will be doing something with that as soon as funds allow.

This one though is a Plain Jane run of the mill quad nothing exciting but great fun and a good challenge to build, enjoy the vid ~~

I hope so. Never fancied flying a plank or heli in poor light, but quads seem to lend themselves to this.

I';ll obviously drag one of the kids out with me to get some video ~~

Hi Biffa, welcome to the forum!

Nice quad with the LEDs. Flying in the dark can be great fun but it';s easiest flying around twilight when there is still some light around. That way you can still see the ground. If you fly later it can get to the point where things like the ground and the trees are hard to see and avoid.

What motors / props are you using on the quad?
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

Biffa

Hi Teslahed,

The motors are the A2208/17 7A 1200KV from Giant Shark and at £7 are good value I think. The props are from Hobby King and are just plain old 8x4 SF.

HI biffa.  Welcome to this addictive addition to the hobby  Think I recognise the name from the other channel RCHeliAddicts?  Also fly helis and my Compass Atom550 is not getting a look in, now I';m wanting to take the quad out for fpv flying every oppertunity 8)

Have fun!

Biffa

Hello Gav,

I do get around a little bit so you may have seen me about. If you saw me on RCHA that would have been before the owner banned me for having an opinion

Never liked the place anyway full of cliquey people thriving off their own self importance.
