i';ve ordered myself a bluetooth module and was thinking about using it to monitor vibrations inflight as well as PID tuning at the field, but something crossed my mind last night and i';m now having 2nd thoughts about having the module connected and running while flying with me using Spektrum 2.4ghz, is the module going to interfere in any way?

thx.

It should be fine. As long as you can fly within 10 meters or so of yourself you should get a good connection.

cool, it should be here tomorrow i';m kind of interested to see how much vibes i';m actually getting with the props on and in the air compared to on the ground without, thx.

Yes Bluetooth works well.

However, if using the Android app EZ_GUI, disconnect before changing batteries then reconnect. Otherwise the app may lock up and not restart correctly. Only option would be to re-boot the phone!

I know this is a month old, but when I installed the bluetooth module on my quad (F450 with HK328p) i put it right in the middle over the flight controller. Bluetooth signal was fine, but every now and then the quad would go crazy and spin out for five seconds (managed to do much better tricks than I am capable of...). I unplugged the bluetooth module and it was all back to normal again. I have now relocated the bluetooth to the end of an arm and have had no more problems. Using JY-MCU bluetooth and an ORx R610 with Spektrum satellite.

Bluetooth uses 2.4ghz doesn';t it? So it could cause interference with Rx?

nub

yup exactly why i asked the question, i';ve never noticed any problems with mine though, i did see some glitching of the motors when the FC wasn';t armed once, hmmm wonder if the BT module has something to do it.

think i may just remove it for safety sake, tuning is about done anyways.
