newbie questions multiwii

i just got the board (crius multiwii se v1.0 firmware v2.0 says the packing) and of course in want to try it out.

i can connect to the board using com 5. but i see no movements (like in those youtubevideo';s for example Multiwii - New GUI interface


but do i have to upload firmware/software to the board in order to work?

or is there a switch i should flip or or or....

i have moved a bit, now in arduino and with config.h set parameters ie quadx in firtst section.
but when i upload i get messge:

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

what does that mean?

I have been out Marc but im back now and will upload a couple of pics to help you out, what version of arduino are you using and what version of the multi wii firmware ? me and Chris are currently in the chat room so pop in if you want so ask questions with instant answers

for gui problem can be the wrong version!

well, everything working now (even gps), for bluetooth i had to change rx tx wires and then got the data to my phone.

but how about the aux2 switch? do i have to change some code? if i flip it on my tx nothing happens.
