ublox 6m no gps lock

ive been trying for days with this gps and no had much luck. at one point i got it to lock on but next time i tried it wouldnt lock. fc just flashes green. ive tried setting different baud rates and setting gps to both ublox and auto.


is there something im missing here? mission planner gives me a 1 so does see the gps. the module itself has a solid blue power light on.

Are you doing this indoors?

I could never get a lock when I had mine unless I was outside

Its right next to my receiver and ive tried indoor and outdoors. the only time i actually got a lock was when i was indoors. Butive also tried moving the gps around with just the cable to try and eliminate interferance.

TX from GPS going to RX on Crius, RX on GPS to TX on Crius?

I seem to remember one of my leads being wrong in that respect, can';t remember exactly.

In terminal mote, type test then enter

then type GPS, then enter

You should see what the GPS is seeing

terminal mode only works on first connect after power on, don';t click the big connect button on the top right though.

i double checked connections and tx rx etc are correct.

this is what im getting when i test in terminal though.

For some reason i cant copy and paste it but its just got a lot of q@uq~?q?q?q etc

Edit:- now for some reason i have a fix, When i do the test in terminal then finish it my gps shows green light but when i then try to connect to mission planner to see flight data everything resets and i cant get a lock again.

Infact its quite random, Sometimes when i dissconnect i just get no lights othr than the blue power light on the crius.

That';s what you get if you either click connect in the top right, or its not the first connection after power up....

the terminal connect button, must be used after first after connecting your USB, do not click the connection icon in the top right....

Open Arducopter, click terminal, then clicj the green connect button at the top of the terminal window.
Do NOT use the connect/disconnect button top right...

im on mission planner 1.2.92. i will try using the same version as you.

It seems i can only find older versions and any updates just put me up to 1.2.92


Edit:- im using megapirate v2.8 btw. Maybe this has something to do with it.

Any help with obtaining a lock would be much appreciated.

Edi:- I tried all the different gps settings and when set to GPS_PROTOCOL_BLACKVORTEX i was getting an almost instant lock and when powered off and on a few times i would lock again but now its back to not locking on again.

when i use GPS_PROTOCOL_NMEA it fglashes and then locks but then loses lock.

GPS_PROTOCOL_UBLOX just flashes green forever.

the module im using is the v3  CRIUS CN-06 V3 GPS
