Hi to all, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to where I can find the Gaza';s guide I have searched through all of Gaza';s threads but shows up nothing.

I built a Crius AIO Pro with a GPS v3, BT, OSD, telemetry, sonar and it is FPV equipped.
I plan on adding an Ardino uno with IR and/or sonars + raspberry PI to act as a small computer.

My Crius flies like it was burn to fly never seen anything like it.
Waypoint flying is perfect very accurate at 2 meters I can fly it around my home day or night with out keeping an eye on it.

All this was possible because of the nice folks on this forum THANK YOU all...

What firmware are you running on your AIOP?
The latest versions of Megapirate do not support sonar, it';s been removed from the code to free up processing resources - not sure about Multiwii firmware I';ve never used it, but I think that Gazza';s guide is for Multiwii.

This is the Megapirate guide.

Hey Thanks DarrellW for your help, I was thinking that Gaza';s guide was a specific document on the sonar for Crius aio pro v2 setup.

Here are some images of the quads I have built.

I used the Naza v1 and the Crius AIO Pro v2.

I have also started on two hexes using the MultiWii PRO and the 3dr Arducopter.

No problem, that';s what forums are for - sharing know how.
Nice models, do you do any night flying? if so do you get any UFO sightings locally.....all those led';s?  ::)
I';ve got a F450 running v1.1 Crius AIOP on mp 2.9 add ons if flies really well, also I designed my own VTail - now dismantled because I built it too heavy, it had a kk2 fc. I';m currently working on a modified H quad with slghtly angled arms (using the bits from the VTail) instead of them being straight - I';m just interested in finding out what effect the angles make (if anything).
Anyway, good luck with what you';re doing hope it works out well.
Oh, forgot to add, do you really need the Sonar? if it';s performing well why mess with it? I think that if you really want to use it the APM fc is possibly a better fc to use (but more difficult to set up) - not used one so can';t help, but ask the question and someone will help!

LOL    DarrellW

My neighbors tell me it looks more like a flying Christmas tree then a UFO..
Building a V-Tail would me a  nice project I may do in the near future I always thought of making it look like the hunter off of The Terminator movie.

Just wondering have you or any one in this forum successfully got your sonar to work on a crius AIO Pro v1 or v2? and if so would you mind sharing your info.

I have successfully added a sonar on a KK 2.0, Multi Wii, and the APM but seems not to be very accurate on my Crius AIO pro v2

I am building this quad for security reasons.

I think the problem on the Crius fc is lack of resources, just not enough processing power to implement it properly. This is the reason the later than 2.9 I think have the sonar code removed; 2.9 add ons was the first version with it removed I think.
From what I can gather the sonar code and it';s overheads was responsible for some of the glitching / unexplained fc problems.

Hi motatob,

Very nice collection of aircraft you have, do I see fixed-wing as well? I particular like the 4th picture down, is that a Naza FC? I am using Naza on my home-brew Y6.

I have just completed a mini Y6 to fly indoors while the bad weather is with us. she has a KK2.0 FC but I find that she is very "up-and-down" on the throttle. I see you have implemented sonar on a KK2.0 and wonder if you could help me do the same with mine as it will save me many props and help save the furniture, curtains and ornaments   Any advice would be most appreciated.

Best regards,
John.

Hi John A, Yeah that';s the Naza v1.0  I build well over a year ago and enjoy every flight.
I do own a few fix wings the one you see in the image is the Finwing FPV glider and the Raptor from Hobby king they are both loaded with the FY-31 and 41 AP with long range and ground station equipment.
I do enjoy using the KK 2.0 as a cheaper alternative I have build a lot of quads using the FC and sold them on the net.
I have recently just purchased the new KK 2.1 and awaiting for delivery I plan on adding sonar to test out the new version. I am also going to add 6 sonars and/or 6 IR to the KK 2.1 for testing along with a development board and writing new software. I am also thinking about adding GPS functionality to the fc as well
I will be documenting my work and making videos of the project on my site.

Hi DarrellW, Yeah I';m thinking the recourses just are not there as well so I';m planning an alternative approach but still keep the crius as the main FC.

Wow, I really like some of the stuff you are doing - well outside my know how.
My main know how is with 3D CAD, mainly SolidWorks mostly used for designing gas and electric fires for the leisure home market; it';s helped me a lot with my ideas for designing Multicopters and Planes. I';m currently building my first scratchbuild foamboard model - the FT Bloody wonder from Flite test';s website, getting used to the methods of construction before I try to design my own.
Must look your website up, sounds really interesting!

Well DarrellW, I';m a software developer/Teacher for the US air Force I teach teachers on the software need to develop game engines to teach there students to build games/software.
Solid Works is a very good cad platform for building structural components.
Are you familiar with other cad/3d tools like Maya, all Autodesk software like 3DSMax and Revit, Rhino and Light wave. I';ve worked with these tools for many years and plan on developing my own 3d printer and maybe come up with my own frames with one of these programs.

Those foamies are great to fly I purchase two of them from Twisted hobby 32'; sBach
however I do plan on making my own with those same plans you have from Flite Test.

Wow, nice job - now I understand your know how.
Foamies are great fun; I';ve got a twisted hobbies Crack Yak so much fun when I get to fly it!
I';ve not really used Autodesk stuff, got put off it by having to use AutoCad for 3D at one stage - not being parametric it was a nightmare! I don';t get to do much visualisation work other than in Solidworks so haven';t really used anything else. At home I use Linux (Fedora ) so don';t really have access to anything but the free software, some of which is ok - I use Draftsight for any 2D work which is pretty much like Autocad lt it';s good because it is supported on most os'; s.
