FPV connectors

After wondering what plugs my ImmersionRC VTx used I thought I';d do some research to find out what plugs they actually use for DIY purposes. I knew they were Molex but not what type exactly. With the information I found below I can spec and buy all the parts needed to make some custom lightweight looms with nice silicone wire for my quads and you can too.

Transmitter Connectors

Molex SL modular Connector System - Fat Shark, ImmersionRC and Boscam transmitters.
In the system they are version G, they have the retaining latch and ribs that key into the socket. You';ll need to buy female crimp terminals for these housings, there are many types for different size wires and different coatings, just go for the cheapest the supplier has for the size/gauge of wire you';re using.

2 circuit
Used for: Power in connector on transmitter
Part #: 50-57-9402
Shut up and take my money: Farnell RS Mouser Digi-Key

5 circuit
Used for: Signal and camera power out on transmitter
Part #: 50-57-9405
Shut up and take my money: Farnell RS Mouser Digi-Key

Antenna Connectors

There are so many places and people who make these I';ll just give photos for recognition purposes.

SMA - Note the pin in the centre
Used for: ImmersionRC and Fat Shark transmitters

RP-SMA - Note the lack of pin in the centre
Used for: Boscam and other Chinese transmitters

Camera Connectors

Molex PicoBlade 1.25mm pitch connector system - FPV board cameras
You';ll need to buy female crimp terminals for these housings, there are many types for different size wires and different coatings, just go for the cheapest the supplier has for the size/gauge of wire you';re using.
These are also used on flight controllers too e.g. the APM 2.5+, if you need a connector with more pins the final 4 digits indicate the number of pins 0300 for 3, 0500 for 5 etc.

3 circuit
Part #: 51021-0300
Shut up and take my money: Farnell RS Mouser Digi-Key

4 circuit
Part #: 51021-0400
Shut up and take my money: Farnell RS Mouser Digi-Key

Fat Shark Goggles

4 Pole 3.5mm Jack
Used for: Video in/out on Fat Shark goggles

Be careful with the pin order, Fat Shark, Archos, Creative and some Apple products use this order but regular video cameras have from top to bottom in my image Right, Ground, Video, Left

2.1mm Barrel Jack
Used for: Power connection
Polarity: Centre = positive, outer = ground

This is by no means a definitive list, if you have any other ideas that can help someone out put them in here.

Great info, thanks for posting. Those little molex connectors that go into FPV cameras are always breaking for me.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

Nice tutorial/info Col_M
I bought crimp tool/stripper/cutter  from these guys: http://hansenhobbies.com/ Yeah, it cost a few quid, but worth it when you see your results!
