forget the 3 leaf clover on your fpv setup.  Just use 4 leaf skew planar on both vrx and vtx and enjoy better reception.

I have a 4 leaf skew plannar on the rx but a 3 leaf on the vtx - not sure why they came like this, but this was the 'recommended' pairing.  Got some links to why 4 leaf is better than 3 leaf?

just cut n pasted the text below from anothet site that helps explain:

The 3 leafed 'cloverleaf' is IBCrazy's (Alex) simplified build of the 4 leafed Skew-Planar.
Alex has done a lot to drive Circular Polarity around the FPV communities and the cloverleaf is his way of adding his own touch to C-P and claim some originality.

However, the Cloverleaf is not as good at maintaining circularity or opposite hand polarity rejection - it is these 2 things that are most important in circular polarised antennas for our purposes.  Alex's claim that the cloverleaf has more gain than the Skew Planar and this is what seems to drive everyone into believing it's the best antenna, but the gain is so neglible, it's not worth considering IMHO.
It's not the best antenna.

If you check out the long range flights, nobody uses the cloverleaf at these distances (mostly because of the nulls in the VTx pattern).

HI
I';m planning to upgrade my antennas and I';m not sure which option will be the best.
Dont care about distance because i fly up to 400m and this is enough for me.. I care about the best quality of signal.

1. Stay with immersion set
2. Buy 4 lobe from immersion and use this on TX
3. Buy 2x skew plannar antenna from  http://hobbywireless.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=73_77&products_id=801
and use them on TX and RX
4. Buy crosshair from Hugo  http://www.truerc.net/canada/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_32_41&products_id=212
   and use this on RX

This antenna   looks for me better because is more rigid than immersion.

The elements would be 709mm in length!  70 cm';s....I think that';s too large to be practical for most things.
