interesting cable for the 600tvl

so ive been making up some, what i like to think professional cables that are made for the 600 tvl and include a built in mic, so far they work great.

Anyway i came across this after looking for some more 600tvl cables

http://www.securitycamera2000.com/products/3-Pin-1.25mm-Video-Power-Cable-for-DC-5V-to-DC12V-for-Board-Camera.html

step up? be pretty sweet as you can use the vtx 5v output

Indeed, I didn';t know they had a cable section otherwise I';d have ordered this
http://www.securitycamera2000.com/products/3-pin-1.25mm-Female-to-3-pin-2.54mm-Female-Servo-Connector-Cable-30cm.html
for connecting my cam to the OSD when I ordered the camera.

Just be aware of the pin order on the servo end, for the minim OSD that I am using you need the pin order to be YRB instead of YBR as it comes from securitycamera2000. You';ll need to pop the red and black pins out and switch them over but this is very simple.

typical too as ive bought the dead cat bec to power the camera now

but then i need a 12v to power the mic and tapping into this might overload it, could buy 2 i suppose

damn dont know what to do now lol

Nice find.

Yeah making use of the 5v out from the vtx is a good thing.

I use thin coax in place of the yellow cable and black gnd, between cam and vtx.  Not sure what type of cable it is exactly as I';ve had a reel of it for donkeys, but it';s thinner and lighter than rg316. Even though it';s a short distance between cam and vtx, it made a big difference and helped remove diagonal lines/ noise on the video feed on my setup even with filters.
Twisting the cables can also help combat noise.
