If like me you have a box full of motors, ESC';s, and servo';s etc and would like something that can be flown in any wind (almost up to a hurricane) then www.flyingwings.co.uk have reduced the prices of their EPP foam wings, meaning if you have the bits mentioned above you can get yourself in the air for £20 maybe even less ~~

Not a patch on an FPV copter (I';m fed up with looking out the window at work at 16:30 and seeing the trees at 45 degrees in the wind :cry)

You can';t go wrong with any of their stuff, virtually bomb proof - I';ve got a 4 channel V trainer, it';s a cracker for fun flying. I also know quite a few people who have got their slope gliders also very good!

I';ve built and flown a few of the flying wings EPP aircraft. They have all been very good, simple, tough designs that have flown well and lasted a long time. A good way to learn acro flying and cheap compared to most rc aircraft when you look at the parts you need to finish one;

One circlip short of a quadcopter.
 1 lobe short of an antenna.

I fancy giving bewinged things a try at some point, a FPV wing would be nice but from what I understand they prefer to be flown fast which isn';t good for a beginner, what other craft would be a good introduction to the world of planks? I';m guessing slow and durable are the order of the day.

Bixlers are very good for the money, I';ve got the Multiplex version of it - Easystar II both quite good for FPV having the motor rear pylon mounted, hmmm Pylon racers......not a good idea unless you';ve got a bit of experience flying fixed wing - small and very fast!

I got one of those tough things from hk.  Although pretty tough,  I';ve still managed to smash the whole front nose of it (glued and taped back on),  smash the motor off twice (not sure how I';m gonna reattach this time)  and broke the prop (need to hunt for a spare...).
