MinimOSD - Mavlink pulses but no data

Hi folks,

I';ve been trying for a few days now to get my OSD working and have now run out of ideas. Trawling through posts here and on DIYD has helped nothing

So, I have:
APM2.6 (telementry works fine with XBEE)
MinimOSD 1.1
Some fatshark goggles.

I can talk to the OSD and change the layout so it is not dead.
When booting it says "Waiting for heartbeat" and then changes to display my grid. The heatbeat "dot" pulses as should so it is getting a valid stream from the APM. There is however, no valid data. Voltage, compass etc - all defaults.
While this is happening Mission planner is working just fine and getting what data it needs.

This happens with and without the XBEE attached.

Any ideas or tips I might try?

Hi Crispin
I now that my minim does some strange things on start up. Every time I power up I have to reset the Minim osd and then unplug one of the yellow video leads and then plug it back in again, it then works fine untill I change Batteries then I have to repeat the process.
try this and see if it works

_finally_ got some time to play with this again.

Thanks for the idea Pip but no go.

It sits there saying "waiting for data stream" and as soon as MP connects then it changes to the correct display but has no details.
I wonder if it is old firmware and expecting Mavlink 0.9. will try flash it now and see if there is any change.

Right - very confused.

It works if I give it a log file via the app but no joy with the APM data. It does see the data as it changes as soon as I plug in the serial cable...
