Choosing the best multi balance charger - recommendations

Hi all,
I';m looking for a really decent and reliable multi balance charger.
Let';s say that I want to get the ultimate* charger and never buy charger again :D
The more batteries it can charge the better.. 4+
6s lipo is a must at 7-8A+

At the moment I';m using Turnigy Accucel 6 but it';s not charging properly and it takes a long time to charge 4 batteries.
Even when balance charge sells are :
1-4.25v
2-4.08v
3-4.17v
4-4.24v

For psu I have couple of server psu';s and they are rated 12V 44.5A
I came across this charger:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=390641739480
Anyone using it? Any thoughts?

Please share how you';re charging them batteries:)
Regards

Evgeni

That is a lot of charge power there.
To charge one 6S at 8A you need 200W of charge power. That one that you link to on eBay is 80W per channel, so it will only charge a 6S at about 3A.

You would need two of these ones which are 2x 200W (400W), or two of the ones that DarrellW linked to. The 2x 200W ones are a bit cheaper of course, but the 2x 400W ones are better.

You say you have a couple of server power supplies, this is good because you will need two of them also. 44.5A at 12V (534W) is not enough to charge four 6S batteries at 8A at the same time (800W). One server power supply (534W) for each of the dual chargers charging two 6S at 8A each (400W) will be fine.

I hope this helps.

I';ve just bought a 2x400w one from Kings Lynn models for the same reason.  Took 2.5 hours to charge a 4s 6Ah battery. I';ve got 6 so far :(

Will report back on how I get on.  Reviews seemed ok.  Does max of 20A or 400W per channel which suits me just dandy.

Quick review then on this: Noisy  :o

This is the one I bought: http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=121

I';m using a large Pb battery as a power source for it. Have it charging two 4S 6000mAh at the same time, 20A into each as a test. Seems to be taking it in its stride.

One thing to note though - this charger is the same as my Turnigy Accucell 6 - just two of them. Menu: identical. On-screen messages: identical; beeps: Identical. No surprise if these are all made by the same factory.

So far, happy with it. Will mount it to a board with holders etc for neatness but all seems well with it.

_just_ an observation - mean no harm in it:

That charger will charge a 4S 5000mAh batter in a shade over an hour as it is 100W per output.
It';ll do 4 at a time - which is cool - but if you wanted / needed to charge them quicker you';re stuck.

Going for a higher wattage per output charger allows you to choose whether or not you want to charge quickly or take it slow (and be kinder to the battery)

I do like the PSU though - might look into one for home-use.  ~~

100W output is usually plenty for most people, myself included. However, the OP stated that he was looking for a multi output charger with an output power of around 200W per channel.
