What size batteries are people using and what flight times? Also are you using GPS, leds etc

How do you connect between the battery, receiver and crius board? Also how many channel rx should I use ? Sorry about all the questions but rather ask than order what I don't need like I did before.

secretman

look in crius all in one board... gaza did a manuel...

Most flight controllers are powered by one of the esc's built in bec's (battery elimination circuit) these supply 5v to the board when connected to a 3s or 4s battery, the rx gets its power from the flight controller through the servo leads connecting it,

Having said that the AIOP has an extended power port (2 pins vcc / gnd) and it is better to use a stand alone Ubec to power this board, the main reason for this is the extended power supplies power to all the extra ports where as powering via the esc's doesn't
this is the Ubec I use

2200mah 3s lipos do work well.
But a tired 2200 will flag up the voltage failsafe on a naza.  Most switch off the voltage warning failsafe because the quad will autoland and you will not be able to take off again.
I have 1 x 3000mah 3S Turnigy lipo which works great but I think when I come to get more lipos it will be 4000mah 3s 25c turnigy nanotech.  They're about $24.00 ish. I have seen others use these and are a good compamise for flight time and weight.  Rapid charge time too ;D

You can change the level it will failsafe at on the naza obviously, and opt to have a warning light before hand. Ive never ever triggered a low battery failsafe before.

The key is shitloads of batteries.

2  x  2200mah lipos in parallel is also an option if you have a some kicking about and saves buying more.  I use my old trex 450 heli lipos but they've been well used.  I can feel a hobbyking order coming on and having that Xmas feeling again when the package arrives lol.
