hi everybody..
just to let anybody interested know how i got on with the Dead Cat "Defibrillator"
I got 1 to use as a 12v regulator since I am using 4 cells on my fpv quad .
It works well , I even removed my old LC filter and the video signal  still very good .

I am not using the 5v out yet , but may run some LEDs  at a later date .

To sum up for the price it cant be beaten , the only con is the + and - arent marked on
the  "Defibrillator" ,  I used my multi meter to find them .But no  biggy .

cheers darren

I have just received a Dead-cat Defibrillator but I havwn';t started working on it yet, I find that the quality is very good the thickness of the plate is 1.88mm compared to my Reptile and Alien which are 1.5mm  and considerably stiffer.

Got mine fitted and use both +12 and +5v from it.  Works fine and is nice n neat, but I am still experiencing diaganal lines on my video.  It has to be the placement of my cables or video transmitter though, because I';ve added another filter in line but still get the diaganal lines.

which video tx are you using ?
I have the boscam 5.8 . I was using a cheap HK LC filter which worked well .When  fitting the "Defibrillator"   I removed the LC filter with no noticeable difference .
I will post a photo of my setup , to show place of the parts .
