so after a major crash and TOTAL rebuild, I did a test flight out the front tonight. in all fairness i'; had a couple of JD and cokes but the fact i';m in Cove i think is the problem...

Flying at about 30 meters, satisfied the GPS and ALT hols are functioning ok i was having a wizz about as you do... then without warning the cloud came in and suddenly i couldnt see the drone, in my panic i cut the throttle to se it fall out of the sky but despite kicking in the power again, it fell and hit the roof of a shed and i had to sneak into someone';s back garden and (get my ball back). I feel crap
. the crash was total crap would never have happened if I';d maintained visual contact with the drone... FEELING STUPID!!!

What do you think RTH is for ? , it';s made to land on your house / shed etc , which saves all that sneaking into people';s gardens.

without lights ,don';t be tempt to watch the bats flying around your garden .

Lucky for me I landed in the nice soft flower bed so no damage ..
Looks like next doors cat will be getting the blame for digging in the flower bed again

Booze and flying of any sort don';t mix well, reactions are screwed up and sense of capabilities is also screwed up - simple solution DON';T DO IT!!!

i havent had the chance to test the RTL and to be honest i panicked lol no major damage other than my pride. as for drink. i totally agree with what you guys say. Only a couple earlier on but it was the impatience that got me. flying in the dark without proper lights and the sudden appearance of low level cloud/fog just spells disaster.
