Found on ebay 21-PIECE PRECISION SET TOOL KIT - SPANNERS HEX KEYS NUT DRIVERS & SCREWDRIVERS

ONLY £2.49 plus £2.99 p&p.  I have found them very useful especially the nut drivers.

Horses for courses - each to his own .... I have some of these and I found them pretty cr@p  :whistling:
You can';t get enough purchase on them with anything stubborn ... the spinning ends do make them good for spinning stuff in and out quickly - but they are no good for tightening and loosening - in my opinion.

I got some fine tools with decent handles in the end - paid more....but .... it';s the old adage - you get what you pay for  :azn

I have some very similar from Lidl, they are quite good because they have a cross drilled hole into which a small (tiny) tommy bar fits allows you to get the more stubborn fixings out! The quality of the steel used is ok as well, which is a bonus!

XH558

So there has to be something inadequate with the original tool if you need said tommy bar  and a tommy bar that ';tiny'; will probably bend anyway  ::)

My advice - Pay more money - Get some decent tools  ;)

You will also find that the six slotted screwdrivers each have a different diameter handle, I guess to apply the correct torque, As I have found out these small diameters it so easy to shear and then your problems really start  :banghead:

They were about £12 and are properly heat treated CrMo steel so never had a problem with anything bending or rounding off - I never buy cr@p tools, waste of money!!!

It';s not often that you see ';Prescision'; and £2.49 in the same sentence!

XH558

Yes you do ... anything and everything made by that quality firm ROLSON

How about ';precision'; and ';£1.99'; in the same sentence?

I just received this in the post today, and am seriously impressed by the quality for the price:

The photo doesn';t do the quality of the tips justice. And for the price it';s unreal!

I had one of those.  It came out of the £1 bin in Tesco.

It lasted about a week before it went to the tip.

Who were you replying to?

That makes sense! - £1 postage, £1product,  £50p wholesale, £25p manufacturing... what do you expect for 25p ?!

Anyway, I';ve already used it to crack open a sat-nav to replace the battery, so it';s paid for itself. And unlike some of these tools that have round edges, or are so soft they get stripped by the screw, I haven';t found that; so it may yet see another use or two!
