So I was getting serious withdrawal symptoms this afternoon  ::) so had to go and get some stick time in! Went over my local park, forgot how populated with model magnets it was! So thought I would have a go at some low level flying and practice banked turns, mistake!!!
2 packs all good, about a minute into the third I had a slight miscalculation and caught the trailing arm on the bottom branch of a young oak tree, did a cartwheel and ended up upside down, dreaded going to pick it up - but was at the same time ';good job no one was about'; no walk of shame! Anyhoo, as it turned out only damage was a broken prop  ::) but yet another without the R on - got a lot of them with the R';s on now!!!

All part of the fun and learning process. Also shows how resilient these things can be ~~

I had a fight with a tree in the garden the other day with my quad. Happy to say the quad won in a shower of leaves. That wasn';t quite what I had in mind when I said I was going to do a little trimming though.  :wack0

Almost reversed the quad into a rugby post this afternoon as it was near the top of the upright piling a load of throttle was the right decision (for the first time ever in my experience)

Done the rugby post one, cost me 3 props and an arm - it jumped out on a rtl!

How are you guys finding dry parts of the UK to fly in? Kent is drowned out, as were the bits of Essex I was in today! Bah.

Fly between the downpours ~~

Been quite lucky it hasn';t rained at all here today, for a change. Summer seemed to end with someone flicking a switch this year

Been ok here but roped in to grandad duties, Sarah is really growing, feeling her feet at 5 months!!!
She is a joy to look after, and sorry to say but she will come before playing with my toys every time!
Just settling down for the night with a bottle of Cimarosa Australian Merlot and a nice piece of steak with tiramisu to follow! absolute perfection!!!

I expect to be engaged in such grandpappy duties in time to come. Eldest daughter has just added to the tribe this morning, a delightful little girl called Emilia weighing in at 8lbs.  So can agree with the sentiment, at least until little ';un has been taught the basics of RC flying  ::)
