ESC stop working suddenly

I was doing a pre first flight tests, powering my Flight controller (which is Multiwii & Megapirate AIOP) from one of the ESC';s, after a while, I';m not sure when and what happened exactly but I noticed that one of the 4 motors don';t rotate,, and that was the same motor I am powering the flight controller from it';s ESC.

I tested that ESC by connecting it directly to receiver, the motor still won';t rotate , the ESC starts by beebing normally but it can';t drive the  motor, when I raise the throttle the motors generate sounds like clicks but no rotation at all

I tried different ESC on the same motor and it worked

any idea, any solution ?

my ESC is TURNIGY plush-60amp

They do go duff now and again, you only need one FET to die (they also die after crashes )

are you sure that this ESC has broken ?
how can I test it ?
is there any possibility to fix it by replacing the FET at home ?
it will cost me a lot to order a new one and pay the shipping charge

Try the following
Try another motor on that ESC
Check that the power to the esc is good

I have been told that the FETs can be changed, but I believe that it is dependant on the type of ESC

But by the time you gt the right size, value and then fight with surface mount components I couldn';t upset myself.

Also i would not trust the esc with my quad afterwards

I had a duff ESC and a suspect motor, for the sake of 15 quid I simply retired the suspect motor as my quad is with more than a single motor
