That is very interesting - on eBay with stand off for £19.03 from China.  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/U-blox-6-High-Precision-GPS-Module-Set-H-8123-for-APM2-5-DOS-H-Fligh-controller-/281154698035?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Other&hash=item4176203b33

I';m currently using a Crius CN-06 V2 that has the EEPROM storage, quick start etc ... based on the Neo-6M uBlox of course.  Once used for the first time in the airfield it 3D locks in seconds after a LiPo change, although it is worth leaving for a few mins to "guarantee" accuracy each time.

So apart from smaller size, and possibly less weight, what is the benefit of one of these over the CN-06 V2?

None. Other than size and weight, it';s feature for feature identical as far as multi-rotor use goes.

Ive had a couple of these for a while now...

Had no issues with them. Seem identical to my crius units.
Tunrnigy Talon Tri, TBS Discovery, TBS Discovery PRO, Spnky 250 Mini, EZUHF, EZOSD

I am quite tempted, even though I have the CN-06 V2 units.  These look much more "professional" than the near-naked , wrapped in clear shrink wrap units most of us seem to have.   At £20 a pop from the Chinese it isn';t something that is going to break the bank exactly.

I have one of those cable tied to one of my 450 arms.

The casing is definately far better solution than heatshrink
