Small quad recommendations?

With the nights closing down the lical flying club will be moving their midweek meetings indoors.

They fly small(ish) planes indoors and it';s a damn big sports hall (appx 1.5 to 2 basketball courts and around 50 foot tall is the size I have been quoted) I have been asked about small quads, which can also be flown outdoors.

The hubsan x4 and similar are too small.

The Twister and Blade models have been tried and found to be dull and perhaps a little too interesting (in a bad way) outside

Size wise I can only really think of the Teslaquad and Armattan (though they would requure very tame settings) and some of the smaller hobbyking products

Price wise things would max out 150 to 200 quid (ignoring batteries and receivers as those would not an issue) KK or multiwii would seem to he the obvious choice for a FC

Suggestions ?
Not much kit, but what I have I like
Armattan Tilt 2, Morphite 180, Quark 150, Decapitated NanoQX

Teslaquad. It is an awesome air frame.

The size of the hall sounds like the one at my local sports centre.

My teslaquad is really robust (it';s been well crash tested) and much larger than the micro quads you have mentioned,  much easier to see in a big sports hall.
Blade Nano QX
Immersion Vortex 285
 Blade mCPx Heli

Blade mQX would suit a large indoor area well.
TBS Discovery : DRQ-250 : Q450 : Blade mQX

I did suggest the Blade but apparently they where tried last year and discarded.

I suspect that they really want a smaller format outdoor quad that can also be flown inside but can';t admit to wanting a quad (they can';t back away from referring to quads as oil rigs)

Walk in with a TeslaHex then :-)

You could definitely fly a teslaquad or similar sized quadcopter in a sportshall;

It';s something i';d love to have a go at myself at some point in the future.

Next batch of Teslaquads will be coming in in the next two weeks, hopefully.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

I';ve got to get back into mine - the FC (a HK 835P) is ';orrible - so i';m likely to chuck in a Crius AIOP with MPNG or multiWii and re-jig the power distribution, lower the FC closer to the CoG from it';s tower that it sits upon right now :-)

An awesome little aircraft.

I don';t suppose there is a Tesla V tail on the way? (as V tails are starting to fascinate me) and having a 450 and a little x4 I can';t justify another x format quad but I could justify a V tail ;) (actually it';s my wife tells me that I can';t justify it.)

Anyway back to other peoples requirements ;)

Are you doing any ready built units (or all inclusive self assembly kits) these days so I can simply point them at yourself?

While they are capable of building fixed wing planes all day, getting flight controllers set up can be interesting especially tuning it for beginners (while I';m happy to spend forever setting up my own stuff I am wary of other peoples equipment in case things get broken)

Thanks
