My f450 is still smashed up (can';t be bothered to fix it, easier to build my own frame instead of ordering arms...) so I bunged the fpv gear on my tri and went to play with the farmers, I';m a bit rusty as I haven';t done fpv for several weeks so didn';t get too close.

sorry about the music, couldn';t help myself  :embarrassed

Full screen and hd is best..... ~~

Actually, I qoite loik that koind of music

A nice bit of FPV - are you flying by flat panel screen and not goggles or helmet?  Caught a glimpse of what I took to be your rig at the last few frames of the video.

Yeah, just a £25 7"lcd from ebay mounted into a plywood shade shoved on a tripod from an old laser level, the rx is on top of a length of pvc pipe that has been gaffa taped to the tripod to give a bit more height to the antenna.
They are not that great though(the monitor) 7" is pretty small, usable but you have to watch your height etc as its not easily judged, I really want some proper goggles for that ';bigger'; view to combat that problem but my moneys all getting eaten at the moment(well with ongoing projects the Mrs would kill me if I blew a wedge of cash on some fatsharks)

Well you';re doing great with that rig I have to say. Impressive, really.

My mission is to fly FPV, and with a stable and trustworthy aircraft I can probably start saving my beer vouchers for some kit.  I';d thought of going in big but wonder if I can start off with the basics and build up over the next year.  Some great ideas coming from this forum

A small screen setup will get you going and TBH when you get goggles the screen will still be good for others with you to watch the action as it happens, so probably a good investment either way
