Hi Clever people
Am i correct in thinking that i can use a spare 3 position switch on my Transmitter to control a focus and then shutter operation via a  shutter release cable.
I have a spare shutter cable i can cut about.
My current knowledge of the reciever technology is low but i understand enough to see that on making the switch on the Tx that the rx will correspond with a high at its output and i can use this.
Thanks in advance

It';s not to a high.  They use pwm signals. You could use a servo with an arm pressing your button down,  or you could buy a RX controlled switch to get the on off behaviour you want.  Hobby king also do a 10 way one for about a fiver.. Search for receiver operated on off switch

A DUAL RC SWITCH  with your 3 posn switch. The second switch down for lighting NOT THE FPV SWITCH.  Might help you

Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.
