Hi

I';ve just switched down from 4S to 3S on the tarot ironman 650

Running rc timer 30A ESC';s

And Rc timer 2112 1000kv motors

With 3S 5000 mah 25c

I';ve really noticed the power difference. Currently using 9x4.7 carbon props.

Am I go to step up to 11';s on the current set up?

Think that will improve the lift and power issues

I';ve also had to set the mid throttle to the maximum 700 in the pid';s as the were it was just to hover..  :hmm:

Yes you will likely have to go up one or two prop sizes. 10 or 11 inch should do the trick.

You';ll get more lift but it still wont be as fast. It should fly better though.

It';s best to try 10 before you jump to 11 - 11 may be too much. A watt meter or the motor specs from where you bought those should help.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

I would be careful about going any bigger than 10", I';ve got those motors on a 450 and 9" seem to hit the sweet spot, try some of the gemfan carbon reinforced nylon off Fruitsalad they are very good!
