This is definitely interesting reading from Pocket Lint.  Garmin are launching the VIRB in October to take on the GoPro Hero range.  The spec on the VIRB is impressive, with built in colour display and IP7 waterproof rating (deep dive cases will be available also).

The Garmin VIRB and VIRB Elite will launch in October for £270 and £350 respectively.

The full scoop is here --> http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/123002-garmin-virb-action-camera-wants-to-take-on-gopro

After a not so light landing I found I sheared a tooth (plastic) on the tilt gimbal servo and also learned I broke off the HDMI port in my gopro black.  Ordered a Torx bit (T4) to attempt to repair. But just wanted to Fyi you guys that this didnt take much abuse at all and the port broke away from the board. Just becarefull.

I cant vouch for this vendor,,   but GoPro Hero 3 Black @275 is a bargain.

See here -->>  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GoPro-3-HD-HERO3-Black-Edition-Camcorder-Go-Pro-3-HD-Hero-3-Camera-NEW-/281130936110?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Camcorders&hash=item4174b5a72e

I can vouch for them now, I bought one, excellent item, delivered fast, well worth it.  If you';re thinking about it,,  go get one.   ~~
