HQ Props

I';ve just received some of HQprops 8"x5" props, ordered from flyduino.

I am impressed with how well balanced they were out the packet. Nice chunky hubs made balancing those easier than most props and they didn';t require much weight to get them balanced anyway and the blades only required a very small amount of tape;

They are stiffer than most carbon reinforced props i';ve tried, almost as stiff as the pure carbon rctimers but seemingly better quality. I am waiting for some good weather to give them a proper flight test but it looks promising so far.

Now i';m waiting for them to release some similarly nice 5030 props for my miniquads. I';m fed up with having to use fragile plastic only props that break if they hit a blade of grass...

they look good Chris. I like the flyduino props you mentioned to me, i just wish they did a 5045, or 5047 like i had before.
If YOU can fly it, I CAN crash it.

I';m currently badgering the guys at HQ prop, telling them that there is a real demand for some better quality 5030s made from stronger carbon reinforced plastic. I would love to see some better 5 inch props than the flyduinos - the flyduinos fly great and are well balanced out the packet, they run smoothly. But it only take a few blades of grass and they are chipped and you lose the smoothness. I get through them quite quickly.

If anyone else would also like to see better quality 5030 props, feel free to tell them;

I can only hope that the more people ask for them the quicker they are likely to appear. They could be the perfect match for the teslaquad and teslahex.

Interesting ... I note the 10" ones are only 4.5" pitch and are a slowfly design rather than the e-prop style that the 8 and 9 inch ones are.
