Motors / pitching problem

I am trying to get my APM2.5 off the ground on a reptile frame.

Everything is correctly setup (i think) but when i pitch forwards one of my back motors spins up and one slows down. If i pitch left the left motors all spin up together and if i pitch right the right motors all spin up together (on the ground, props off for testing).

I cannot work out why pitching forwards causes one back motor to spin up and one to slow down. Any suggestions welcomed at this point.

I am using the V frame type and have connected my motors to the pins on the apm like this (copying the X frame layout);

One circlip short of a quadcopter.
 1 lobe short of an antenna.

I would check that the motors are connected in the correct order. There is a console command ro do this but I cant remember what it is

There is a Peter King video on YouTube which demonstrates the process though
Not much kit, but what I have I like
Armattan Tilt 2, Morphite 180, Quark 150, Decapitated NanoQX
Taranis+

';motors'; in the test menu, I think...

Chris, silly question coming up, but that diagram you';re posting is for a + frame not an X frame.  Did you mean that?

If you scroll right a bit more you';ll see the diagram i used. I used the X diagram and assumed motor layout is the same for the V frame i have selected in the missionplanner.

I will check the motor connections as suggested when i start on this again tomorrow though, thanks!

That';s what i would have thought Hands0n, but there is a V frame option in the mission planner that looks right for the frame, and Rammylad (tony) was telling me he uses that frame type with his reptile.

The diagram pictured even looks about right with the arm angles as well.

Hmm, thats really odd.  I have that Reptile-like airframe (X450 Alien) running a Naza M Lite (not yet tried it with an APM 2.5), and the only option in Naza Assistant is X frame.  Have you tried it with the X frame config?  Even if that sounds illogical?  ;)

I will try the X frame tomorrow - seems worth a try.
