Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.

I asked Tony how many had attended the course now (bearing in mind I';m number 226, and my aircraft is G-UAV0223). I registered in February.  They are up around the 500 mark already!  Massive boom in the industry.

It did at least have a bit more balance to the article than others I';ve seen. I don';t really understand some of the privacy issues they keep bringing up. How could you not be aware of a 1m+ thing with arms, buzzing like an angry prehistoric wasp, flying over you?

I';ve not seen any videos taken by this community that could be considered intrusive.

As for "flying over people" maybe better awareness of the rules under which we fly (CAA) is needed. 150m is some distance from "over" people if applied correctly!

That';s my ten pennyworth!

what a fantastic earner for the company doing the exams....

Quite a few people thought that  putting a camera on a heli was going to make them   money...BUT   photographic skill/editing/presentation s need to be quality in every way or its endsville.

As for making a living out of it I imagine that very few  are going to be successful.

I doubt you';d make a living out of solely doing this, unless you had a government type contract or another job.

I think there';s a split, those who are photographers and want aerial stuff as an added string to their bow, and those who are pilots who want to make a few quid on the side of their hobby.
