Yet for fly the quad and looking at 5.8ghz Rx/Tx at present!

You buy this, the leads to connect and two wires to the Video TX and you have your FPV...........am I correct ?

Any update/opinions on this hardware.

Mate recommended it as he is going to buy it for a visor cam for his car, is this any good, does it ONLY suit FPV, or is it ok for recording.

TBH I still haven';t delved enough into the video and FPV world, so i';m green. I';m cautious of fly offs disappaearing with my hard earned cash etc. Sooooo would you recommend this kit, and if so for what level of use.

Appreciate the help peeps, one of these days i';ll realise what I have been missing and go FPV mad

The mobius camera will do FPV but it';s better for recording. I would not recommend a non Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) camera for fpv.

I used an 808#16 camera (previous version, goes up to 720p only) for a long time to record my flights. For the price and weight i was very satisfied, quality is obvuiously nowhere near a gopro but very good value for money, lighter and smaller. Also less frontal area (less drag).

I would expect the mobius to be similar but better in quality.

If you are not ready to spend the cash on a gopro yet something like this is a good option.

Cheers Chris that';s what I was hoping to hear. Being green and not trusting my flying skills or Naza "reliability" against flyoffs i';d rather not get a gopro just yet. This sounds like a very viable alternative.

Mobius camera does have a WDR function. I got one when they first came out and it works well.

Video below  of recorded video and also live out footage, unfortunately utube has butchered the quality but you can see the pictures still good when i';m flying directly into a low sun.

I believe there is an issue with rf noise from the cameras case which might affect a quad/gps , but it hasn';t affected my wing so far.

Thanks for that! I really didn';t realise the mobius did WDR. That';s a major bonus - you can use it effectively as an all in one camera for FPV and recording in this case.

I might have to get myself one at this rate...

You can set WDR (Wide/High Dynamic Range) on (default is off)

The extension cable are interesting to.  I like the idea of being able to place the camera right at the front, exactly where you want it but have the electronics somewhere else, out of the way
