Here';s a few vids of my bodge up servo Gimbal.

I';m flying a 450 with a crius aiop running mg add-ons 2.9.1v7

Some pics... https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B2Vw6UkLypHaOUxobHhCS1BYTWs/edit

Thats cool mounting it directly to the servos ~~

Why two cameras? did you add tilt control to through the RC? thats the coolest thing I have :)  (you';ll need to use the gimbal camera for FPV)

What is that black box at the bottom?

Vibrations are ruining my life ever since I started messing with gimbals.... on your setup maybe you need to mount the roll servo on vibration dampaning.

I now have a brushless gimbal and will probably need a better quad to hold it in the air for more than 5 minutes  :banghead:

The can on the Gimbal is just a vid camera, the second one underneath is the fpv one, the black box is the battery for the fpv transmitter. They are both the same type of cam, but I thought it would be easier fpv';ing with a cam that shows a proper horizon and what not.
I';ve not added tilt control, just using the FC to do stabilisation.

Cheers, John.

I actually like flying with stabilized tilt cam, that way, when I fly fast forward I see the front and not the ground, the roll is a bit of a problem as you wannt know you are drifting but I just put the virtual horizon line on the OSD and I know the quad is rolling,

Took a bit of your idea and a bit of someone elses and worked on my gimbal yesterday, its started up like this:

Now it looks like this:

Your gimbal looks great, I might eventually go down the brushless route. If I do, then I';ll be copying yours!

Cheers, John.
